Officers

Operation of the club is set by the Board of Directors 12 members. Three of the members are actually permanent board members as they cover essential needs for the daily operation of the league in the course of the year. These members are the secretary, the starter assignment director and the statistician. The eligibility of members filling these positions is approved every year by the board. The remaining 9 members are elected every year by the membership at large. Three incumbents step down and 3 new members are elected to the board by the membership at large and serve for 3 years. Officers and Committees are then elected by the board members. Every member is eligible to run for the Board (actually, only the ones with above average insanity do).

Needless to say, the Directors are volunteers and there is no retribution for their services. In fact, it is only at the end of the season's banquet that a round of applause by the membership seems to be the only reward for the efforts. Of course there are also few vocal expressions of dissent.
