Fellow Par Hopers,

I consider it a privilege and an honor to serve as your President. I am looking forward to working closely with each of the other Board Members (Terry Dullaghan, Richard Jefferys, Dan Ticotsky, Dave Utterback, and Bob Dominiique) in a process of building camaraderie, friendships, having fun, and increasing the membership. It is with great pleasure that I inform you that each of the Appointed Members (Ed Basista, Wayne Beavers, Mark Bricker, Mike Durr, and Dan Martin) immediately upon my election as President, agreed to continue in their current roles. I know that each of the Appointed Members has worked diligently and tirelessly to make our Club better. The support of each of these people is the most meaningful aspect of being your President. They deserve the credit and all the “kudos” for the outstanding job that each has done over several years. I must pay a special tribute to George Dostie, our photographer for as long as I have been a member. We all deeply appreciate his “picture taking” and picture history that he has created.

The operation of the Club is determined by the ten members of the Board of Director. The Secretary, the Treasurer, the Head Starter and the Statistician are permanent members and the other six members are elected for three-year terms. Because of the complexity of keeping starting times streamed-lined the Head Starter has had two Assistants in recent years. The various committees (Events, Rules, Membership, Elections) are currently headed by one of the six Board Members. At our next Board Meeting we will determine if the members will continue in the roles that they currently hold.

We look forward to adding new innovative ways to making the game more fun, ways to get members to meet other members, and ways to have more fun. We will encourage each of you to make suggestions, bring forth new ideas, and to express yourself in ways that can improve what we are doing. We will work within the scope of the Par Hopers Constitution and By-Laws and be transparent, truthful and civil to each other.

Let’s work together, play together, enjoy our friendships and make strides like the Club has done for 58 years.

Sincerely,

Rob Carter
